Overview

About this treatment

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. It involves the insertion of very fine, sterile, single-use needles into specific points on the body (acupoints) to regulate the flow of Qi (vital energy), stimulate the nervous system, improve blood circulation, and trigger the release of natural pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory chemicals.

Our Approach at PhysioCare Oshawa

Udani Fernando, certified in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, combines classical techniques with modern understanding. She often integrates acupuncture with Tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage), cupping, guasha, and reflexology for enhanced results. Treatments are relaxing, virtually painless, and customized to your specific health goals.
