Overview

About this treatment

What is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave therapy delivers high-energy acoustic (sound) waves into injured tissue. These waves trigger biological responses: new blood vessel formation, collagen production, dissolution of calcifications, and release of trigger points — all without surgery or medication.

Our Approach at PhysioCare Oshawa

We often combine shockwave with physiotherapy or Graston for stubborn chronic conditions that haven’t responded to other treatments. Many patients notice improvement after just 3–5 sessions.
