Leaking when you laugh, a heaviness that was not there before, pain with intimacy, or a core that still feels “switched off” months after birth — none of that is a character flaw. It is a musculoskeletal and pelvic-floor problem, and it is treatable.

Who this is for

Pelvic floor physiotherapy at PhysioCare helps people dealing with:

  • Stress incontinence (leaking with cough, run, or lift)
  • Urgency or incomplete emptying
  • Pelvic pressure or prolapse symptoms
  • Scar and tailbone pain after delivery
  • Diastasis and return-to-exercise questions

You do not have to be a new parent. We also see pelvic pain, endometriosis-related tension, and men with pelvic floor dysfunction. The first visit is a conversation, not a surprise exam.

What a private session looks like

You stay in control of the room. We explain every option, including whether an internal exam is useful, and you can decline any part of the assessment. Many people start with education, breathing, external techniques, and loading the hips and core. Internal work is never assumed.

Sessions are one-on-one in a closed room. Wear comfortable clothes. Bring questions — including the ones that feel awkward. We have heard them.

When to start

After an uncomplicated vaginal birth, many people book around six weeks, or sooner if pain or leaking is getting in the way. After a caesarean, we still work on breath, scar mobility, and return to lift. You do not need a referral. Direct billing is available on most plans.
