Recovering After a Car Accident in Oshawa
June 24, 2026 • 8 min read
Pain after a motor vehicle accident often shows up a day or two later — a stiff neck, headache, low back ache, or dizziness you did not have at the scene. That delay is common. Starting care early still matters.
What we treat after a collision
Whiplash-associated disorders, rib and shoulder strain, low back pain, concussion-related symptoms, and the sleep disruption that follows a crash. We assess range, strength, and neurological signs, and we take your accident history seriously even if the airbags did not deploy or speeds were “low.”
Paperwork without the runaround
Ontario MVA claims can feel like a second job. Bring your claim number, adjuster contact, and any ER or family-doctor notes. We regularly treat MVA files and can direct-bill the insurer where the claim allows. You are still responsible for any portion your plan does not cover.
You do not need to wait until every form is perfect to book an assessment. Starting treatment and documenting findings helps both your recovery and the claim.
What a plan usually includes
- Hands-on physiotherapy or chiropractic for the neck and back
- Massage for muscle guarding
- Graded exercise so you do not freeze in place
- Laser or acupuncture when pain is lingering
- A clear home program — few exercises, done well
